Giving purple some love

I couldn't resist this fabulous purple blanket. Where can I find something as rich as this? Yesterday, while browsing this lady's blog I took notice to Petra Bindel and her wonderful look book of her work. Her name Petra is as stylish as her work. Great combo.

Since it seems that the day is going to turn out to be sunny, I think I'll refinish our old 1930's wicker set! I love sitting out on the porch, but lately this set is so sad that I've been avaoiding it. I know it will probably entail paint chips and a big mess but I'm ready for it! It's been in the making since last year but I never got around to it. Can't wait to show you. Here she is now, looking cute but you can see the paint at the bottom peeling, that was last summer!

Collaging

Another week is ending and another weekend is starting...yay! I put together a bit of a collage today, or maybe it's more of a mish-mosh-but either way the colors and of course that amazing fireplace made me feel happy on this cold Friday morning...and how about the embroidered wallpaper by Claire Cole, really amazing.
