The look I'm talking about it is bunching things and placing them altogether. Do you collect things that you've done this with? I recently put all the sea shells that I've collected throughout the past couple years and I have them, along with candles on my dining room table. Especially in the winter, it leaves me with the hope that yes, it will get warm again.

Also, how about this space! It doesn't suprise me that they're Dutch...boy, do they have an eye for design!

Spaces like these are so important to me. I can remember when I was little girl wanting a window seat so badly in my room. I would try to create, even as a little girl, spaces that were cozy and den like. I still try to capture that look as an adult. There's just something so primal about being in a small, tucked space that can bring comfort. Maybe on a subconscious level it helps focus and makes your own world feel less "big"? I find my most fun projects consist of small corners, and areas in my home that are that untouched space that can really be transformed into the perfect spot. This is one of mine.

Dining room shot this morning when I went down stairs. The dogs are outside playing and Teasee (the cat) is snuggled in her basket sound asleep. Seems like a good start to the day. I'm so looking forward to having a three day weekend...in the blogging world atleast, so I'll see you on Tuesday! 

Two things about this post This In Here. First, I could wear this black outfit everyday with not one complaint, especially if it consists of a long shirt, tights and flip flops! Secondly, the wallpaper that I found on SFgirbybay is such a unique way to bring life into an otherwise bleak space. I love how designer catalina estrada brings a psychedelic feel to her wallpaper in her new collection coordonné.
