Gestures
Thursday, September 9, 2010 Do you notice other peoples hands and gestures, the jewelry that compliments their nail polish or the structure of each finger? Right now I am very aware of my own hands, the way I'm typing and holding my coffee mug, and noticing that my hands could use some moisturizer! And so, when I saw this post I was intrigued. This series is called "Gestures" by photographer Saul Robbins. If you notice, and really take notice to peoples movements, you can identify the energy that they are putting out, Happenstance really said it quite perfectly.

Reading this makes me start to become more aware of my own gestures!
I think about this stuff all the time too! Especially being a piano player, my hands are pretty important!
You can really note this on japanese geishas...or belly dancers....people with grace...
My husband is very into the look of hands - i think i have to work on mine a bit! Having a 3 yr old does not help :)
Really nice images! (I'm learning to become a potographer :)

I love that you posted on this! We were just talking today at work about how each of us has their own specific gestures that they always use when speaking to clients. It's funny how these are so intrinsic to an individual yet more often than not, we're completely unaware of it
don't worry I need moisturizer too! lovely blog here, we're in holly's class together, hope to chat soon!
I knew I wasn't the only one fascinated by this! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

It's so true, our gestures say so much more than our words sometimes. I often forget to pay attention to them, but when I do, I feel like I learn so much. Thanks for the reminder! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I pay a lot of attention to hands and sometimes I notice that I am doing the exact same hand gestures that my mum usually does...
