Keeping busy

Any good reads lately? This time of year I always seem to get myself prepared for cool days and nights by the fire, keeping myself occupied indoors and allowing for the winter to run its course.

Let's here some of your favorites...books, crafts, anything you do to keep yourself busy during the winter months.

p.s. knitting is usually on the top of my list!

The book I recommend to EVERYONE who asks for a good book to read is Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. You might have already read it, since it's getting pretty popular now, but I read it almost five years ago for my senior English class in high school, and it's been my absolute favorite book ever since! It's completely beautiful and heartbreaking and hilarious all at the same time.

My second favorite, actually a pretty close second, is John Steinbeck's East of Eden. It's really long, but you'll get through it really quickly! I actually didn't start reading another book for a couple weeks after finishing that one because I was so sad it was over!

Hi Excellent post since my ' la catedral del mar' is almost finished. Super! I feel so much closer to Barcelona after having read that book and before anyone goes here you should read it. Another favorite is Life of Pi and the book HOME for anyone interested in Interior.
Have a good day!

What beautiful shelves.
I like to read. A Lot. I agree with the above poster that 'Life is Pi' is an amazing book. I want to read 'Freedom' by Jonathan Frazen. Recently gotten into Kazuo Ishiguro...he is the author of "Never Let Me Go" (which is being turned into a movie).

First, I love this photograph. Second, I just finished reading Four Fish by Paul Greenberg and loved it. I'm also in the middle of Barbara Kingsolver's Animal Vegetable Miracle and it's FANTASTIC. I know what I finally want to do with my life.

Wow Brandi that's amazing! I have that book, started it but haven't finished it yet. You've inspired me to pick it back up! Thanks:)

I picked up several in TN last week that I've yet to start but excited regardless...
The Help by Kathryn Stockett was a recommendation from Mom
Love the One You're With by Emily Giffin for a chic lit fix

P.S. I received the clutch when I got home, it's adorable! Thank you!!
